Football

Newbold to Illinois State. The great mystery of why La’Darius Newbold can’t get on the field will not need to be asked any more as Newbold will transfer to Illinois State. Wish Newbold well and hope he gets an opportunity to play.

Clear Your Calendar. You are being advised in June not to plan anything on December 31st because that’s the day that the College Football Playoff have decided to have their semi final games. Yes, at 4 pm and 7 pm, you’ll watch football on New Year’s Eve, drinking by yourself or maybe grilling between games (it might get a little cold), while your significant other is out on the town. You’ll probably have more fun.

Carlen Nominated to Hall. Congrats to former Texas Tech head coach Jim Carlen who was nominated to the College Football Hall of Fame!

There’s a Chance. Via Dr. Saturday, West Virginia AD Shane Lyons is slightly opening the door for possible expansion with the idea of possibly two teams entering the Big 12.
