Campus Photos

Totally Texas Tech has some terrific reflection photos after the rain from Thurday night as well as some non-construction photographs.

Soccer

Texas Tech and Arizona came to a 2-2 draw last night and Texas Tech was down last night seemingly the entire match and scored the second goal in the 94th minute. The highlights of the second goal embeded in the tweet from Rebekah O’Brien, oh my, that was an impressive strike and a beautiful shot. One last thing, and don’t @ me, I love those grey/gray uniforms for the soccer team.

Volleyball

The volleyball team lost a tough one to Colorado last night in Portland, 3-2. It was a back-and-forth affair adn it was a good showing for the volleyball team.

Get to know volleyball newcomers Michelle Irvin and Toni McDougald.

Football

Offensive line coach Lee Hays talks about the offensive line, talks about how there is depth, but it’s young. Will have to out-effort guys to be good on Saturday.

LAJ’s Don Williams talks with Nate Newton about being the keynote speaker for the Tech Knight Kickofff, the 57th year for the event, that is set for tonight, Saturday night, starting at 6:00 pm. Also in attendance tonight is former Red Raider footballers Andre Tillman, Bam Morris and Marcus Coleman as well as Texas Tech President Lawrence Schovanec. Would love to hear about this in the comments if any of you go.

Get to know freshman DL Ivory Jackson. And the last play is from a middle drill and Jackson makes a great play, the reaction from the coaches is great.

ESPN’s Jake Trotter does the preseason preview for the ESPN Big 12 Blog Bros (one is done on each team) and it’s nothing new, although Trotter does predict Texas Tech to finish 8-4 on the year.
