 Good story from the Express-News on former Red Raider basketballer Stan Bonewitz, who is currently the head coach at Concordia University in San Antonio:

“When I first got here, I was 26 or 27,” he said. “I didn’t know what I was doing. I was (lucky) to have an opportunity I probably wasn’t ready for, but I was eager to work and to learn.”

Athlon Sports has their Freshmen All-Big 12 team and it includes RB Da’Leon Ward, OL Terence Steele, LB Jordyn Brooks, CB Douglas Coleman and CB Desmon Smith.

The Kansas Jayhawks have promoted Garrett Riley to quarterbacks coach, Garrett is the brother to Lincoln and Garrett also was a walk-on quarterback for Texas Tech from 2008-2009 and then transferred to SFA to play.
