RRS’s Drew Kohnle has a good recruiting notebook, including a run-down of some of the recent offers.

ProFootball Talk reports that Patrick Mahomes received a second round grade from the NFL and he will be on NBC Sports Radio at 6:00 pm ET, PFT Live.

Miscellaneous . . .

  • Our old pal, David Ubben at Gridiron Now gets back on that expansion train, noting that there’s no real movement in Big 12 expansion, but lays out the possibility that another team could win their way into the Big 12.
  • Holy smokes, the NCAA is going after Ole Miss and head coach Hugh Freeze hard as the NCAA has alleged that the Ole Miss football program lacked institutional control and Freeze for unsatisfactory oversight of his assistants. Included in this report is that there were players that were paid $13,000 to $15,000 by Ole Miss and didn’t sign with the Rebels. That’s bad news if they’ve got that.
  • This won’t move the needle for a lot of you, but Yahoo! Finance has the details of the ugly breakup of Sports Illustrated, The Cauldron and Chat Sports. This includes fake emails and a fake term sheet and lots he-said vs. he-said.
