Garth Brooks and Texas Tech Football Team up with Teammates for Kids

About 70 campers, none of them paying a camp fee, along with a handful of volunteers, including Texas Tech head football coach Kliff Kingsbury and a handful of Texas Tech football coaches and assistants teamed up with Garth Brooks and his charity, Teammates for Kids, to sponsor a camp at Jones AT&T Stadium on Sunday.

“This was an unbelievable opportunity to participate in such a good cause,” Kingsbury said. “It’s incredible that Garth takes the time he does on every tour stop to conduct a camp like this. The kids were phenomenal and learned a tremendous amount not only about football, but also about character and leadership.”

What a great opportunity for these kids and very cool to see Kingsbury out there given 10 hours on the road yesterday along with the spring game and everything else that came with traveling to Frisco to be out there on Sunday.  And Brooks has always seemed like a genuine guy despite the incredible amount of success he’s had through his career.
