Eats & Bounds: Lubbock Concerts, Events, & TTU Sports – 09/14/17

Today is as good a day any to try something new. Below, you’ll see that I’ve started building a comprehensive Google calendar of several events, concerts, etc. that I think most STP readers would find interesting. We’re working on the format to be a bit more pleasing to the eye. What you see comes directly from Google, and there aren’t a lot of display options available. Let me know what you think.

THE MENU

Also, let me know what you’re cooking this Saturday. We purchased a whole pork loin from Costco a while back. We cut the center of it into loin chops while the ends were saved whole. I plan on using some rosemary, herbs de provence, and a few other spices that sound good at the time to season one of the loin roasts that morning before placing it on the smoker after lunch. Will let you know how that turns out.

THE HIGHLIGHTS

For this week, I’d like to point out that The Maize is firing off this weekend with their cotton-themed maze, Comic Con will soon be underway at the Civic Center, and there are a few Texas Tech Watch parties set up at Alamo Drafthouse and The Garden for those without tickets to the game. The Funky Door has opened its new location which includes a wine tower, a marvelous thing I didn’t even know existed. Our friends at Lubbock in the Loop stopped by for a visit.
