Big 12 Report: Week 11 Previews

Game: Oklahoma State vs. Iowa State
Last Week: Oklahoma 62, Oklahoma State 52 | West Virginia 20, Iowa State 16
Date & Time: Saturday, September 11th @ 11:00 a.m.
Location: Jack Trice Stadium
Television: ABC / ESPN2
Line: Oklahoma State -6.5
Expert Commentary: Iowa State at Jack Trice is tough. Like really tough and is probably one of the more underrated places to play a game on the road in the Big 12. Those fans always show up. However, I think that Oklahoma State offense is a few notches ahead of where Iowa State is, but if you want to give anyone credit for turning around Iowa State, it probably starts with defensive coordinator Jon Heacock. That guy has helped keep Iowa State in games all year and it wouldn’t surprise me to see Heacock devise something to keep Oklahoma State in check as well. I’ll take those points, but Oklahoma State to win.
Game: West Virginia vs. Kansas State
Last Week: West Virginia 20, Iowa State 16 | Kansas State 42, Texas Tech 35
Date & Time: Saturday, September 11th @ 2:30 p.m.
Location: Bill Snyder Family Stadium
Television: FSN
Line: Kansas State -2
Expert Commentary: I was surprised that Kansas State was favored in this game and I think that West Virginia is a better team, so I’ll be happy to take those points and pick the Mountaineers. Kansas State is a very good team and they’ve got to win this game (and I think one more) in order to become bowl eligible so they’ll be motivated, but I like the Mountaineers here.
Game: Kansas vs. Texas
Last Week: Baylor 38, Kansas 9 | TCU 24, Texas 7
Date & Time: Saturday, September 11th @ 5:00 p.m.
Location: Texas Memorial Stadium
Television: Longhorn Network
Line: Texas -33
Expert Commentary: Well, I should very much like Texas and the meme that has lasted at least a year will hopefully die, at least if you’re pulling for the Longhorns. I don’t see the Texas defense giving up many points to Kansas and the Jayhawks have had a really tough time putting the ball in the endzone. Heck, they had a problem putting the ball in the endzone against Baylor.  I don’t know about all of those points, so I’ll take Kansas against the spread, but the Longhorns *should* win this game handily.
Game: TCU vs. Oklahoma
Last Week: TCU 24, Texas 7 | Oklahoma 62, Oklahoma State 52
Date & Time: Saturday, September 11th @ 7:00 p.m.
Location: Oklahoma Memorial Stadium
Television: FOX
Line: Oklahoma -7
Expert Commentary: For the most part, TCU has played up to the competition and really, this is going to be for a playoff spot, whoever wins this game *should* be one of the top four teams and for one of them not to be is sorta criminal. They’ve earned it up to this point.   I’ll take the Sooners in this one at home, partly because I don’t trust Kenny Hill and Baker Mayfield has been nails all year long.
