RedRaiderSports’ Chris Level tweeted this morning that Western Michigan offensive coordinator Kevin Johns has been hired to be the offensive coordinator at Texas Tech:
#TexasTech and @TTUKingsbury have hired Kevin Johns (@kjfbcoach) as the new OC in Lubbock. Johns comes to Lubbock from Western Michigan and was previously at Indiana under Kevin Wilson for several years.

Johns previously worked with Indiana head coach Kevin Wilson and was seen as one of the guys to build up that Indiana offense and was there at Indiana from 2011 through 2016. Johns was at Western Michigan for just the 2017 year. You can check out Johns in action here (h/t Matt Clare via Twitter):
