I had made a bet with my wife that had 2 parts. First, if we made the NCAA Tournament in Dallas… and second, if we won the 1st round game I could take the whole family to the Texas Tech basketball weekend game. I took a gamble and set up a flight, booked a hotel, and got a rental car in Dallas for Friday night. Welp, one part of the bet has come true!!! Texas Tech will take on a very good SFA team in Dallas on Thursday. It was thought that Tech would get the #4 seed, maybe #3, but no lower than a #5 seed. The #3 seed is what we all wanted, and that dream came true.
It’s a great time to be a Red Raider, and we’ve been saying it all year that this squad is special. At full health it is a Final Four type team that could end up in San Antonio. This is going to be a really fun week, and I am so proud of how far this team has come thanks to all the hard work our players and coaches have put into the program. SFA is going to be getting ready, and Texas Tech you know is already getting the scouting report on the Lumberjacks. March Madness has just begun!
Seth and I will have some awesome coverage this week leading up to the game. Buckle up folks, and to all those people that are going to be at the game, let’s hope we make it past the 1st round so we can all meet-up for a STP party before Round 2.
