Eats & Bounds: Lubbock Concerts, Events, & TTU Sports – 11/22/18

The Texas Tech Alumni Association will be set up in Arlington bright and early for the 11am kickoff.

Whether you’re a Red Raider in the DFW area or are driving in for the game, we’d love to see you at the official Texas Tech Alumni Association Pregame Party for the Texas Tech – Baylor game on Nov. 24! Register today to get a discounted registration rate!

The event will begin at 8 a.m. We will be located right across the street from AT&T Stadium in the tent behind Fishbone Grill & Sports Bar.

This year, we are offering a special rate of $10 for the first 300 who register online. This is an incredible deal, as included in the price is all-you-can-eat breakfast burritos, biscuits & gravy, as well as beer, mimosas, Bloody Marys, tea and water. A cash bar will also be available. (Game ticket and parking not included)

After the first 300 registrations, prices will be $40 for adults and $15 each for children 18 and under.

We can’t wait to see you there, as we get ready to wreck the Bears!

Enjoy Jerryworld for the last time until 2021 or so.

THE MENU

Happy Thanksgiving! It’s one of my favorite holidays. As I type this Wednesday night, I have two turkey breasts in a brine in the fridge ready to go on the smoker in the morning. We decided against the full bird this year because there will only be three adults around the table tomorrow. Honestly, it’s probably still too much food but I like to be prepared.

I went with this Traeger recipe this year, my first time to try it. I’ll let you all in on the results next week unless I royally mess it up.

And despite my usual boycott of Christmas things until at least after Thanksgiving, I am currently enjoying a St. Arnold’s Christmas Ale.

I hope you all have a wonderful day filled with delicious food and good company. Prosit!
