Busy. This is a half-arsed Morning Stake. In order to create additional chaos in my life, I have decided that some things are non-negotiable. I run every Monday and Wednesday morning during the work-week. Mondays are sprints and Wednesdays I do what I call tempo runs, but I don’t know what anyone else calls them. Whatever the case, it takes me about an hour to run every Monday and Wednesday. I also decided before the new year turned that I would do 100 push-ups every day. I’m currently on a 60+ day streak. I also promised myself that I’d read every day. So I do both of those things in the morning. All of these things are non-negotiable and I don’t know why.

So, as you can see, I’ve created this chaotic life for myself, all the while I need to get certain thins written. I wrote the basketball preview last night that’s to publish at noon. Right after I wrote about Sally Kipyego. This morning I updated the baseball series thread where the Red Raiders swept the weekend. There’s links to each box score, recaps, and highlights to the two Florida State games. I then thought I needed to get a football notebook up since spring practice is set to start tomorrow, but by the time I looked at my watch I knew that I wasn’t going to do a Morning Stake because it was 4:35 a.m. and I needed to go get dressed and get on that treadmill because I have created ridiculous rules for myself and I am not going to break them.

I promise to do a better update tomorrow, but today, even on its own is set to be great here at Staking The Plains. You’ll have an audio recap of the baseball series from Keith Patrick and Dinger Derby at 6:30 a.m., plus Kyle Jacobson has his By The Numbers post set for 10:00 a.m. And the preview and game thread for tonight’s game against Baylor is set for noon.
