Texas Tech Guard Jahmi’us Ramsey Declares for NBA Draft

On Saturday, Texas Tech guard Jahmi’us Ramsey declared for the NBA Draft, but did not hire an agent, which gives Ramsey the option to return if after talking with teams, he feels like he should return to school. Ramsey has until June 3, 2020 to make a decision as to whether or not he will return.

Ramsey talked with Watch Stadium’s Jeff Goodman talked with Ramsey about his decision and talked about how he is working to get better.

This is likely to cause some roster issues with Ramsey in a bit of limbo until early June. Beard really has to keep that spot open in case Ramsey returns. Technically, Texas Tech is right where it needs to be with Ramsey leaving, but that also assumes that Benson is not going to take a scholarship. As we all know, Beard is still after a big-man forward, so he’s not turning over this roster.
