Erik Gray was the second commitment from Sunday, a guard that plays both ways and I think is maybe supposed to play guard in college.

Big thick body with a lot of strength, not a ton of height, he’s an absolute unit in terms of what a guard should look like. Gray is a good mover up and down the line of scrimmage, pulls really well for a guard, and looks like an excellent athlete. I can really envision Gray pulling up and down the line of scrimmage quite easily. The thing with Gray is that he may be a better teammate and person than he is a player.

Gray’s commitment is the first offensive commitment under Joey McGuire and I have a feeling that we’re just getting started. I wish I knew why Gray wasn’t on the radar of the former staff, but given the rate of commitments, I would delve into that question more than a handful of times between now and the December signing day.
