Post-scrimmage presser with Joey McGuire. Not a ton there, said that both sides of the ball went back and forth and this wasn’t a normal press conference, I think this is just Matt Dowdy asking questions and not the press corps.

Lubbock Avalanche-Journal’s Don Williams on the in-helmet communication, which I also covered this during the hour-and-a-half press conference late this week, and that it will be safeties coach Rob Greene and the strong safety.

ESPN’s Max Olson simulates the season 25 times using EA Sports’ College Football 26 and and this of course is fun, but Texas Tech went 15-1 in one simulation and met up with Nebraska for the championship, winning 35-13.

CBS Sports’ Brad Crawford predicts the conference championship games and has Texas Tech playing Iowa State.

Yahoo! Sports’ Ross Dellinger reports on the Big Ten floating the idea of a 24-team and 28-team playoff bracket. Most criticisms of this are that this essentially makes the regular season unimportant because it grants automatic qualifiers like Halloween candy, 7 for the Big Ten and SEC, and 5 for the Big 12 and ACC.

Lubbock Avalanche-Journal’s Adam D. Young reports on Texas Tech’s Masked Rider, Rose Rosas, was hospitalized after a riding accident on Friday. Rosas is recovering and in good spirits. Think a good thought for Rosas as she recovers.
