On Tuesday night, Yoyo was taking on a couple of tacklers, 2 of whom jumped on his back to drag him down, he was trying to gain an additional yard and his femur dislocated from his hip and tore his labrum. It is not an injury that I like revisiting, but that’s where we are. Surgery is on Tuesday and he’ll be out for 3 months, which seems like a short period of time for me, but probably not for an 8th grader who has been looking forward to football season. I am still planning on running my 50k on Friday in Seattle with my brother. I initially was going to cancel my trip, but we know he’s going to come out okay and we have lots of family that will be able to look after him. If you are into it, please think a good thought for Yo on Tuesday, I’d appreciate it.

After yesterday’s games, ESPN predicted playoff participants and Texas Tech made the list for each one of their experts, from 6 to 11.

If you were curious, Texas Tech opened as 8.5 point favorites against Houston and the line has now moved to -10, which seems pretty rich.
