The coordinators, led by Kenny Perry, Shiel Wood, and Mack Leftwich met with the media. Two different videos, special teams and defense in the first and offense in the second. Players were part of the media scrums as well and are after the coordinators.

“He’s done it,” Pollock said of McBath, “he’s been through the same stuff I’m going through. But one thing he says is, like, it’s my decision, and he’s not gonna try to persuade me any other way.”
Though Pollock could be on his way to the NFL, he’s also started being a recruiter for Texas Tech’s potential transfer portal targets, players who could be his teammate with the Red Raiders should he return. He’s joined the likes of Terrance Carter Jr. and Howard Sampson interacting with players like Brendan Sorsby, the Cincinnati quarterback who announced earlier this month he’ll be headed to the portal.

“I think the thing he excels at for them is really doing a great job of managing the offense,” Tech defensive coordinator Shiel Wood said on Saturday, Dec. 27. “They give him the ability to do a lot of things within what they do schematically, and he just has a really good mastery of what they’re doing, being able to get them into some checks into maybe a better play at times based on the look they’re seeing. And then just distributing the ball across the field and playing within the parameters they have.
