Running incredibly late this morning. Had soccer practice duty last night, so I wasn’t at home to work on things.

I think the biggest news from yesterday was with new Lady Raider head coach Krista Gerlich, who convinced the two players who entered the transfer portal to stay, got a commitment, and her daughter intends on transferring to Texas Tech.

Most importantly, Lexi Gordon and Chryslyn Carr decided that they would remain at Texas Tech. That’s probably the biggest news because these were talented returners.

Next, via the Oklahoman, 4-star forward Chantae Embry from Norman High School in Oklahoma committed to Texas Tech:

In total, the 6-foot-1 forward held offers from the University of Pennsylvania, Louisiana Tech, LSU, and Colorado, among others. Embry was committed to Oklahoma State at one point.

Embry, ranked 14th at her position, according to espnW, listed her top four schools as Texas A&M, Kansas State, Kansas and Missouri State on Aug. 3.

“Didn’t have Texas Tech or UTA in my top 4, and I honestly think God works in mysterious ways,” Embry said of what changed her mind. “But I love the relationship me and coach Krista Gerlich built over the years and her vision for her players and me, specifically.

“I’m just so excited and feel like this was a great fit for me.”

And last, but certainly not least, Bryn Gerlich, Krista’s daughter and a forward at Oklahoma State decided to transfer to Texas Tech.
