No Time. Man, oh, man, I’m running out of time and now, with basketball about to start, my lack of time to work on things has increasingly dwindled away. That’s why you missed the Morning Stake yesterday, I got up at 3:30 yesterday morning, started working on the preview (I had already put about 45 minutes into it) and didn’t hit publish on yesterday’s preview until 5:45, so a shade over 2 hours worth of work. I then scheduled the Weekly Conversation and by that time it was 6:00 and I had to get ready for work.

If I’m running out of time now, then I’m probably going to run out of time with basketball and there’s a decent chance that I may miss a few more Morning Stake’s moving forward. For example, I’m hitting publish in this Morning Stake around 5:45 and I still need to load all of the scheduled posts that need to go today plus, I need to hit the road running by 6:30 (at the latest because I’ve got other things to do today!).

Fall Report. D1Baseball has a fall report that’s largely behind a paywall, so if you’re totally into baseball, then this is for you.

โ€œWeโ€™ve played two games this fall, and it was all about seeing what kinds of tools and ability we have. Since that point, itโ€™s been a total tossup each day at practice. Itโ€™s the hardest time of year because youโ€™re trying to evaluate four intra-squads a week,โ€ Tadlock said. โ€œThereโ€™s just really cool competition throughout the roster right now. Thereโ€™s plenty of competition at several positions. Weโ€™re moving guys around right now, seeing where they might be the best fit. Itโ€™s been a lot of fan, thatโ€™s for sure.

โ€œIf you want to see a lot of 98s and things like that on the radar gun, Lubbock, Texas, is going to be the place to be,โ€ he continued. โ€œBut you got to pitch and play defense, and you have to earn the right to win a lot of games and prep each day the right way.โ€
