Since this series has been held in the Metroplex the last 11 years, Baylor might need directions to Jones AT&T Stadium. The Bears haven’t played in Lubbock since 2008 in Art Briles’ first season as head coach. Fans are usually rowdy but that shouldn’t be such a factor this time since the stadium will be at 25 percent capacity due to COVID-19 restrictions. This will likely be Baylor’s best shot to win a road game since its only remaining trip is to Norman on Dec. 5, but Texas Tech knows it badly needs to win this home game.Edge: Texas Tech

As for his own job security, it’s doubtful that is even in jeopardy. He’s in the second year of six-year contract and because of the money lost in the middle of pandemic, the university doesn’t have the cash for a buyout.
But if there’s no sign of progress over the final three games of the regular season, there will be some pressure on the head coach to make some internal changes.
