Lady Raider Bailey Maupin will compete in the 2026 Lilly Women’s All-Star Game on April 4th at Global Credit Union Arena on ESPN2 at noon.
Donovan Atwell will participate in the E*TRADE Men’s 3-Point Championship at Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis on Friday, April 5th airing on ESPN.
ESPN’s Dick Viale named JT Toppin to be on his 1st team and Christian Anderson on his 3rd team All-American teams.

Texas Tech’s season ended on a low note in a 25-point loss to Alabama, with Anderson playing one of his worst games of the season with just seven points on 2-of-11 shooting. He injured his groin two weeks ago at the Big 12 tournament and likely wasn’t at 100% for the first two rounds, but did a solid job defensively on Labaron Philon Jr. despite the result. Losing in that fashion certainly wasn’t an optimal look, but Anderson helped himself in a major way this season and did well to carry the Red Raiders after JT Toppin’s season-ending torn ACL in February.
Anderson faces an interesting draft decision, with the option to stay in school, be a major NIL earner and make a run in next year’s thinner point guard class, or capitalize on a stellar sophomore season where he shot 41.5% from 3-point range. A strong predraft process would help to solidify him inside the top 20, with many teams viewing him in a tier of guards that also includes Philon and Bennett Stirtz (Iowa).

ESPN’s Bill Connelly ranks college coaches likely to improve teams and #1 on that list is Oklahoma State’s Eric Morris. And as part of this ranking was the best coaching performances of 2025 and Joey McGuire finished 2nd to Curt Cignetti.
I guess there’s the thought that Texas Tech and Houston might play on a Friday night and Chairman of the Board of Regents for Texas Tech does not agree with this move:

I think a lot of people are just saying, well, just flex and see what happens. Texas Tech is the big dog in the conference. I am not comfortable in that role and in order to act that way you sort of need to have an off-ramp and I don’t know that one really exixts right now. Personally, I don’t see how TV numbers are so great on a Friday night. I know that I’ll be at a football game watching Fits and the band and maybe Yo if he makes varsity. I suppose I’ll get up on Saturday morning and watch the game.
