I am back. Left Kentucky at 4 in the morning and arrived in the DFW around 6 in the evening. I think I drove 10 or so of the hours and am a bit tired. Yo is playing in the TABC basketball showcase this weekend in Mansfield so I hit the road again today and tomorrow.

Red Raider Sports’ Shelby Hilliard reports that Texas Tech softball added Florida State’s Jaysoni Beachum:
This past season Beachum earned Third Team All-American honors after batting .406 with 13 doubles, 10 home runs, 69 RBI, .549 on-base percentage and striking out just eight times all year while walking 54 times.

Via On3’s Daniel Hager and Red Raider Sports’ Jarrett Ramirez on the addition of Pitt State safety Jordan Rogers (5-10/188) as he was granted a 6th year of eligibility:
As a fifth-year player for Pitt State, Rogers finished with 85 tackles, 1.5 sacks, five interceptions, five pass breakups and four forced fumbles. Rogers in 2025 helped lead the Gorillas to a 10-3 record and a Co Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association championship.
Dave Campbell’s Texas Football ($) released their All-Texas College team and Texas Tech led with 12 players represented including RB Cameron Dickey, TE Terrene Carter, Jr., LT Howard Sampson, RB J’Koby Williams on 1st team and RT Jacob Ponton at 2nd team on offense. On defense LB Ben Roberts, DL A.J. Holmes, Jr., OLB Trey White, and CB Brice Pollock on 1st team and OLB Adam Trick, LB Austin Romaine, and LB John Curry on the 2nd team.
