The Morning Stake: April 11th

Your daily dose of all things Texas Tech, including a sweep for the baseball team and is Davis Webb checking out Auburn as well?

Sweep. Texas Tech not only swept Oklahoma State, but they also run-ruled the Cowboys, 15-5 yesterday afternoon. Texas Tech has now won 10 conference games in a row, with the only loss being to Baylor in the second conference game of the year. Texas Tech sits on top of the Big 12 standings, with an 11-1 record, while TCU is at 6-3 on the year and Texas is 5-4.

Texas Tech hosts Sam Houston State on Tuesday and Wednesday and then hosts San Diego State in the Brooks Wallace Memorial series this weekend. After that, Texas Tech will face Texas on the weekend and TCU on the weekend as they head into May.

Webb to Also Visit Auburn. Davis Webb visited Cal over the weekend and will now visit with Auburn soon. Webb previously committed to Colorado back in January and now appears to be checking out his options.

Receiver Outlook. DMN’s Mike DuPont looks at the receiver outlook for Texas Tech:

The Red Raiders will turn to Batson and Sadler to fill Grant’s production in the slot while Mahomes’ arsenal remains stocked with weapons despite Lauderdale’s indefinite suspension because of key seniors such as Dylan Cantrell returning from injury.
