Texas Tech women’s tennis fell to Stanford in Round 2 of the NCAA Tournament. Hat-tip to the ladies who put in the work and the coaching staff for a fantastic season.

Texas Tech softball went ahead and won the Big 12 Conference finale 2-1 and winning the series against BYU. As the article notes, head coach Gerry Glasco and Texas Tech won all 8 conference series this year and Glasco has won conference series 60 straight times, which is insane. The Big 12 Championship in Oklahoma city is up next, May 7th through May 10th.

Texas Tech baseball split the double-header yesterday, winning game 1 6-4 and losing game 2 3-2. If you are a seamhead and love Texas Tech baseball, I recommend Way Off Base with Jamie Lent where he writes about how well this team has played the past two weekends:

-One: it means the Red Raiders are playing way better right now than they did early in the season.

-Two: Starting pitching has been a major reason for that improvement.

-Three: The margin for error for the Red Raiders is really slim and they need to play near their best to win games.

-Four: While some teams are better than others, it appears that the top of the conference is not unbeatable.
