Texas Tech softball defeated UCLA 3-1 yesterday, the first run being Makayla Garcia stealing home from third in the 5th inning (it was actually a double-steal). UCLA answered with a run of their own in the 5th, then Hailey Toney homered in the 6th with no on and 2-out and a Raegan Jennings single scored Alana Johnson in the 7th to get to the final score of 3-1. NiJaree Canady pitched another complete game, giving up 1 run, 4 hits, 2 walks and striking out 7.

Texas Tech will play the winner of the Oklahoma and Oregon game, which is set for 6:00 p.m. on ESPN2 today. That game for Texas Tech will be on Monday at 6:00 p.m. on ESPN.
