I don’t know if North Carolina guard Kerwin Walton (6-5/210) is going to transfer to Texas Tech, but I do think it is good to be prepared and watch a highlight reel. With Steve Green at the helm with the offense, I think that having outside shooters who can, well, shoot, will have a huge impact for Texas Tech moving forward. Walton made 35% of his three-point shots last year, but saw his minutes drop from 21 to 13 minutes from his freshman to sophomore years.

The Texas Tech baseball team had 11 players receive academic All-Big 12 honors, which means a GPA of 3.00 or more (sometimes higher).

CBS Sports’ Shehan Jeyarajah has the top transfers in the Big 12 and UT’s Quinn Ewers tops the list, as does Baylor DL Jaxon Player, Kansas State QB Adrian Martinez, Oklahoma LB T.D. Roof, and West Virginia QB JT Daniels. Jeyarajah picks tight end Baylor Cupp as his pick for Texas Tech:
Texas Tech — TE Baylor Cupp: The Brock, Texas, product was once the No. 1 tight end recruit in the nation at Texas A&M, but struggled to deal with injuries and fell behind Jalen Wydermyer in the rotation. However, if he can stay healthy, Cupp gives offensive coordinator Zach Kittley a scary, versatile weapon to help build the intermediate passing game around.
I think that linebacker Dimitri Moore might actually be a better pick or even linebacker Jacob Rodriguez. Moore is being highlighted on the weekly show and coaches raved about Rodriguez every chance they got during weekly pressers.
