The Lady Raiders announced that they would play in two games this summer in British Columbia:
The Lady Raiders will play against the University of British Columbia at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 8 and then against University of British Columbia Okanagan Campus at 6 p.m. on Monday, August 10 in the Langley Events Center in the Township of Langley, British Columbia, Canada.
“With the graduation of nine seniors, we felt the need to give our 11 new players extra time together— extra time to practice, compete, and build chemistry before the season begins in the fall,” Texas Tech coach Krista Gerlich said. “Clearly, we saw the benefits of this type of summer opportunity las year and want to give this team as much of an advantage as we can. Just the team togetherness and bonding experiences is invaluable in itself, but the extra time on the court will go a long ways, especially with our six freshman.”
Red Raider Sports’ Shelby Hilliard reports that Texas Tech has received the commitment of 2027 guard Nadia Jordan (5-6):
Jordan is regarded as one of the top young guards in Texas and has built a reputation as a two-way playmaker. Scouts praise her athleticism, basketball IQ and defensive ability with some reporters described her as the most explosive athlete among the Jordan sisters back when she was a freshman starting alongside her three sisters for South Lake Carroll High School. She was then known as an elite on-ball defender but has since developed into a versatile scorer capable of attacking the rim or knocking down shots from the perimeter while running an offense with poise beyond her years.

This was too good. I’m adding the HTML in here, but I’m also copying and pasting the text just in case something gets deleted, but my former high school classmate, Matt Mosley, was talking to TCU head coach Sonny Dykes and said that TCU is $20 to $25 million behind Texas Tech football in terms of money:
.@TCUFootball coach @CoachSonnyDykes tells me the Frogs are “probably 20-25 million” behind @TexasTechFB in terms of NIL/portal spending. TCU spends most of its resources trying to retain players it landed via high school.
Texas Tech GM James Blanchard responded in-kind:
I’m bored today so I’ll go ahead & say it. This isn’t true.. nobody in a P5 conference is 25M behind anybody unless there is something fundamentally wrong with their program. Which could be the case. I doubt many are even 15M behind they just have poor roster building/management.
I think Blanchard (and probably a lot of people) are tired of taking strays from folks so why not respond and correct.

Dan Casey is kind of an online offensive guy and he videoed a day with offensive coordinator Mack Leftwich, which was very good.
Mack Leftwich is a ball coach, but he’s an even better person.
I first met him when he was dialing it up at Incarnate Word.
The logo has changed a few times, but the passion, creativity, humility have remained the same.

CBS Sports’ Blake Brockermeyer has the top 10 running back rooms and thinks Texas Tech is No. 2 in the nation:
The Red Raiders return an impressive trio of Cameron Dickey, J’Koby Williams and Quinten Joyner. Dickey and Williams ran through the Big 12 last season, combining for 20 rushing touchdowns while averaging more than five yards per carry.
