THE SWC WILL NEVER DIE. The Lady Raiders will be matching up against Arkansas in the Big 12/SEC Challenge.

Track & Field

GET THAT GOLD. Former Texas Tech track star Michael Mathieu will be running in the Olympics for the 3rd consecutive time for the Bahamas, and has medaled in each appearance. Good luck, Michael!

THE LINE OF SUCCESSION. The Red Raiders have offered a 4-star 2019 QB out of Allen

CATCH AS CATCH CAN. The Dallas Morning News continues their Big 12 position rankings with the WR’s, where Devin Lauderdale & Derrick Willies both make appearances. Dede Westbrook from Oklahoma has also stepped into the role of the Sterling Shepard Memorial 12th Year Senior, so congrats to him as well.

NooooOOOOOOOOOO! What price hath we wrought for the sake of progress? The iconic Double T on the north endzone lawn at Jones AT&T has been removed to make room for new loge boxes. All is not lost, however, as a new, smaller replica of the emblem will be installed at a lower location. The original couldn’t be saved like the old SWC bonfire pit it seems. The silver-lining in all of this is that it sounds like construction and improvements to the facility are going well, and it’s going to look pretty danged great when all is said and done. Hurts to see an icon leave, though.

WHY WON’T YOU JUST LET ME LOVE YOU. In an effort to catch the Big 12’s eye, SMU got it’s donors to open up the coffers to the tune of $150 million for facilities upgrades. Conference expansion: where the best consolation prize is an expensive reminder of being told “thanks, but we’re good right now.”
