The Morning Stake: September 26th

Soccer

original-double-t The soccer team went 1-1 on the weekend, losing on the road to Kansas and blowing out Iowa State at home. This is a young team, so the inconsistency shouldn’t surprise you. They may not get it until next year, but they’ll be high quality sooner rather than later.

Tennis

Volleyball

original-double-t The volleyball team lost their conference home opener on Saturday, 0-3 to West Virginia.

Golf

Basketball

Football

original-double-tLAJ’s Don Williams has an interesting piece about how Kirby Hocutt is considering all options regarding the south end zone, nothing has been decided, but trying to think out of the box, including the idea of condos in the south end zone. I for one, am totally in favor of having a community STP condo where we can all just hang and party and stuff.

original-double-t Miscellaneous . . . Texas Tech released their game notes that contains the depth chart and it’s still pretty much the same as the first game, including Keenon Ward still being a starter despite being out for 3 weeks or so . . . LSU fired Les Miles after losing to Auburn on Saturday and there are already rumors that LSU has contacted Art Briles and Tom Herman and I think that Briles is still too toxic for a program like LSU to touch, but whoever Briles’ agent is, he’s doing his job . . . LAJ’s Michael LaBarre has how the 2017 commits fared this past week . . .
