CBS Sports’ Jon Solomon looks at college football attendance and there was a slight decrease overall, but Texas Tech was actually up in attendance overall, along with Texas, Oklahoma and West Virginia in the Big 12. You can check out the rest of the college football world there.

RRS’s Will McKay wrote about who and why each of the mid-term junior college players ended up signing with Texas Tech and since I don’t think we’ve talked enough about Vaughnte Dorsey, here’s a bit on what he brings to Texas Tech:

Dorsey on what he brings to the table for the Red Raiders: “I believe that I’m the type of guy who will bring aggression and a motor. I’m not going to stop. I feel like I also bring some leadership. I feel like those three traits are what they saw in me, what they hope to get out of me, and hope I can bring those things to Texas Tech.”

KENS5 has the story on Cibolo Steele’s loss to DeSoto and Texas Tech commit QB Xavier Martin had a good game in keeping Steele in this game:

Martin completed 20 of 35 passes for 256 yards and TDs of 45 yards to Jackson and 34 yards to junior running back Brenden Brady. Martin also rushed for TDs of 15 and 20 yards.

“Xavier made some plays to help us stay in it, help us win,” Lehnhoff said. “Defense got some stops to put us in some positions. We would have loved to have scored two more times. Like I said, Robinson scored with his feet and Xavier did it with his arm and feet as well. He had a great night tonight.”

RRS’s Will McKay spoke with Dakota Allen after his commitment to Texas Tech and that he had to go through an entire process (appeals) just to return and talks about playing at East Mississippi C.C.:

“I feel like this fall went very well. It was a very humbling experience. Definitely had one of the best seasons I’ve ever had personally with 117 tackles. But I felt like it was definitely humbling.”
