Scrimmage Format:
Head coach Kliff Kingsbury is expected to run the Red Raiders through roughly 100 plays Saturday in the second scrimmage this spring. Texas Tech will likely begin with a special teams period and then move into a full scrimmage, beginning with the current starters on both sides of the ball and moving to reserves. There will not be a scoring format or game clock for Saturday’s scrimmage.
As part of the scrimmage, Kingsbury and his staff will put the Red Raiders through several situational periods where the offense and defense will face such scenarios such as 3rd-and-8 or drives in in the red zone. The scrimmage is slated to end around 4:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon.
I’m going to be the only non-Mensa member of a Mensa lunch and then I’ll be around the front of the stadium at the map below at around 2:00 p.m. Please stop by and say hello (please pay no attention to the caption, I’ll be there at around 2:00 p.m.
