Congrats to the women’s tennis team for being honored with the Public Recognitoin Award for program swith APR scores in the top 10% of the 2916-17 academic year (TexasTech).

ArkansasOnline’s Matt Jones reports that Arkansas pitcher Bryce Bonnin is transferring to Texas Tech. Bonnin is a right-hander who had a 4.26 ERA last year with 16 strikeouts and 11 walks, and is originally from Mont Belvieu.

A-J Media’s Don Williams writes about fullback Mason Reed talks about the concussion he suffered during the Kansas game last year:

It’s the feeling that kept eluding him after the Kansas game last year, when he’d still go to school, but sit in the back of classrooms to be as far away as possible from illuminated screens that could aggravate his symptoms.

“Each week, I was hoping,” he said. “Each day, really, I was hoping, ‘Maybe today’s the day it’s all going to clear up and I’m good and I’m going to be back.’ Unfortunately, that wasn’t the outcome.”

“It was something I’ve definitely never experienced, and lasting as long as it did really scared me,” he said, “because for a while I was starting to get scared that it wasn’t going to go away — like it was going to stay forever. It was just all-around hard.”
