Office Space 20 Years Old. The movie Office Space was one of those cult-movies that resonated with me for whatever reason and a lot of other people. Filmed in Austin, Office Space captured the idea of what it meant to work in an office at that time, in cubicles, and with a red stapler. The Ringer has your oral history of Office Space that’s absolutely worth your time and Variety checks in 20 years after its debut.

Big 12 Action. The only Big 12 game last night was Baylor at Iowa State and Baylor took down the Cyclones by 4, 73-69. Right now, Texas Tech and Kansas are at 9-4, a game behind Kansas State, who stands at 10-3. Iowa State and Baylor are 8-5. It’s a given that Saturday is a huge game for Texas Tech and given the standings, this is going to be a fantastic finish. And on the schedule for Saturday will be Texas and OU in Norman, Iowa State at TCU, West Virginia at Baylor, Oklahoma State at Kansas State, and the Big 12 day ends on Saturday night with Kansas at Texas Tech.

And NCAA’s Andy Katz agrees that Saturday is one of the 7 biggest games between now and the conference tournaments.

Kansas’ 14-year Big 12 championship streak is on the line, and Saturday’s game between the Jayhawks and Red Raiders is crucial. Kansas State is 10-3 in the league (more on them soon) while Kansas and Texas Tech are tied at 9-4. The Jayhawks only need to tie for the lead in order to extend one of the craziest streaks in college basketball to 15.

Kansas handled Texas Tech with ease in Lawrence earlier this year, but the Jayhawks are shorthanded now and are playing in a tough Lubbock environment. It won’t have Lagerald Vick. And the Red Raiders are on a bit of a roll lately, winning four straight and six of seven.

This feels is a crucial game for Kansas if it’s going to extend the streak to a decade and a half.

If you click on the link, there is a podcast with Katz and head coach Chris Beard and you can start listening around the 24:00 mark.

Director of On-Campus Recruiting. I can’t remember the person’s name, but the previous director of on-campus recruiting was from South Florida and that didn’t last all that long, maybe a week or two. Now, head coach Matt Wells has hired Christina DeRuyter, who is the daughter of California defensive coordinator Tim DeRuyter, who was previously the defensive coordinator at TAMU a few moons ago.
