Yesterday, Eastern Mississippi C.C. linebacker DeShawn Page committed to Texas Tech.

Page is originally from Fulton, Tennessee, where he played high school, committed and signed with Marshall, but ended up playing at East Mississippi C.C., which is where Dakota Allen played and where Last Chance U first started their series. Page committed to Kansas State in the spring to only decommit a week or so later. In fact, Page decommitted on the same day he was offered by Texas Tech. Coincidence? I think not.

Last year, page had 36 tackles, 3 tackles for a loss, half a sack, a couple of pass break-ups, and a forced fumble.

Page does display some nice recognition and appears to be a solid tackler based on his highlights. Page moves well in space, isn’t afraid to take on blockers and moves well through the line. Page does move well in space and he’s got really nice athletic ability I think. Something to watch, would maybe be how linebackers are recruited

Page is the second JUCO commit, the other being defensive tackle DeMeco Roland. The entire 2021 class can be viewed here.
