Good morning. Used a little bit of AI to summarize and a bit of my own. I barely had time this morning to listen to the whole thing, but this is obviously in preparation of the spring game this Saturday.
The video features a discussion led by a coach about the progress and excitement surrounding the spring sports teams, particularly focusing on football. The key points include:
Spring Sports Success: The women’s tennis team won the Big 12, and the softball team is performing strongly. The coach expresses enthusiasm about the upcoming tournament.
Football Team Development: With a new offensive and defensive system in place, the team is working on situational drills, including two-minute offense and red zone scenarios. The coach emphasizes the importance of preparation and situational awareness.
Emerging Players: Several young players have stood out during practice, including Kelby Vaslin, TJ West, and others. The coach notes the importance of depth in the roster and highlights the competitive environment in practice. Price Morgan has had a good spring, inside and outside. Leyton Stone and Michael Dever have been good. Lucky to have big-time tight ends, JC and Carter have had good springs. Lee Hunter and Skyler and AJ are good and Jayden Cofield looks better, Braylon Rigsby and Amier Washington being around Skyler. On the edge Cheta Ofili has seen Romello Height and David Bailey and he’s elevated.
Unsung heroes of the spring: BJ Jordan and John Curry have had phenomenal springs. Payton Morgan has gone with the 1’s and he was great at intercepting the balls. On the offensive line, Danny Sill has been really good and have position flex on the offensive line. Love the running back room.
Cole Wisniewski, Skyler Howard and Lee Hunter are the leaders stepping up. Johncarlos Miller, Howard Sampson, Mo Horn, Sheridan Wilson and Davion Carter on offense. Big decision on media day.
Behren Morton has transformed his body, changed his eating habits and he’s throwing the football next week. Last year he played at 220 and is now at 210 and 213 and he realizes this is it. Has gotten more serious over the years. He’s expecting to be at full capacity in 3 weeks when he goes to Florida.
Injury Updates: The coach provides updates on injured players and their expected return, mentioning that the team is carefully managing injuries while maximizing practice efficiency.
Competition and Leadership: There is notable competition for starting positions, and several players are emerging as potential leaders. The coach highlights the importance of leadership in building team chemistry and performance.
Offensive Line Flexibility: The team is focusing on creating depth and flexibility in the offensive line, experimenting with different player combinations to optimize performance.
Excitement for the Spring Game: The coach invites fans to attend the spring game, sharing his excitement about the new players and the team’s energy.
Overall, the video reflects the coach’s optimism about the season, the team’s development, and the anticipation for upcoming competitions.
