New Mexico State former Conference Player of the Year Desirae Spearman will transfer to Texas Tech. In 2025, she was 11-8 with a 3.54 ERA, 118 strikeouts, and 129 walks, while hitting .430, 20 home runs, 47 RBIs, and slugging .977.

Locked on Texas Tech with Casey Cowan and Chris Level went into a deep dive about the possible 2 players who could be added, one of them being Australian guard Ben Henshall, who is not a guarantee, and the other player that might join Texas Tech basketball is former New Mexico and Stanford commit, Jaylen Petty (6-0/165). Petty originally committed to New Mexico, then decommitted from them when Richard Pitino went to Xavier, then signed with Stanford as the 2025 Washington State High School Player of the Year. I’m not sure what happened with the Stanford situation, but last year as a senior, Petty averaged 24.5 points, 5.9 boards, 5.5 assists, and 3.2 steals a game last year. Nothing certain with either one, but Level is more confident in the Petty situation.
Texas Tech basketball will play in the Baha Mar Championship in the Nassau, Bahamas on November 20-21 with Wake Forest, Memphis, and Purdue in the field.

Graham Harrell will join the Texas Tech Ring of Honor on October 25, 2025, during the Oklahoma State game at Jones AT&T Stadium. Harrell is currently the Abilene Christian offensive coordinator. The video is great and you can tell that Harrell is surprised that he’s being honored.
Harrell will become the 12th member of the prestigious Ring of Honor as his name will be unveiled on the West Stadium Building to Jones AT&T Stadium at halftime between the Red Raiders and Oklahoma State. Texas Tech will also host an induction ceremony in his honor on Oct. 24 with additional details to be announced later this summer.
“We are proud to celebrate not only Graham’s induction into the Ring of Honor this season but also his selection to the College Football Hall of Fame,” Director of Athletics Kirby Hocutt said. “He represents the best of the best of Texas Tech Football, and we’re excited to add his name to the walls of Jones AT&T Stadium to live on in history.”
