The spring seems to be so much busier than the fall, especially if you have kids. Spring concerts for Fits and spring basketball with his high school team for Yo (as an reminder, Yo is an 8th grader and playing in the high varsity spring league, he scored 15 and for the first time in a game dunked on a kid last night).

CBS Sports’ Brandon Marcello has post-Brendan Sorsby possible suspension Top 25 and believe that Texas Tech falls to 11th in the nation:
11. Texas Tech
Texas Tech is the story of the offseason — and for all the wrong reasons. Many don’t expect Brendan Sorsby to be back on campus after he admitted his gambling addiction to Texas Tech officials. The NCAA is unlikely to approve his eligibility. That leaves the otherwise-loaded Red Raiders in a major lurch. Backup QB Will Hammond is not expected to be ready for the season (knee), leaving Joey McGuire with his third option. The good news amid this unforeseen mess? The schedule is so favorable that the Red Raiders will likely remain the favorite to win the Big 12 when preseason camp begins.
ESPN has under the radar players for each Big 12 team and here’s the pick for Texas Tech:
Under-the-radar player: WR Kenny Johnson. Texas Tech brought in four wide receivers via the portal this offseason to help replace the production of NFL-bound starters Caleb Douglas and Reggie Virgil. Johnson, a Pitt transfer, is ready to take the next big step in his senior year after earning honorable mention All-ACC recognition last season as the Panthers’ second-leading receiver with 695 yards and five TDs on 48 catches. He should have a chance to shine alongside returning wideouts Coy Eakin and Micah Hudson. Don’t be surprised if Johnson also emerges as an impact punt returner for the Red Raiders. — Max Olson
I don’t have any new information on Sorsby today. There may be something out, but I haven’t necessarily seen it. I’ve seen where someone is suggesting that Texas Tech go after a ghost transfer, which is a player that doesn’t enter the transfer portal, and that results on the head coach being suspended for 6 games and fines. I’ve seen where it is suggested that Texas Tech sue the NCAA if/when Sorsby is suspended. I honestly don’t see how that is a fruitful proposition for Texas Tech if Sorsby actually bet on Indiana, whether he played or not. That seems pretty open and shut, regardless as to whether or not the 2023 policy had been implemented. I don’t know that I care what Cincinnati knew and when, it makes them culpable in a way if it is true, but that doesn’t change anything for me as a fan of Texas Tech. If they get games vacated for last year, that’s fine, but it doesn’t change anything for me. I’m not wasting energy on Cincinnati (no offense to Cincinnati, but I’d expect the same thing were the roles reversed).
