Texas Tech Basketball: 2026 Forward Trey Hall Signs

The latest commit is North Crowley forward Trey Hall, who is officially official and has signed with Texas Tech:

A Fort Worth native, Hall helped North Crowley High School win the 2026 Class 6A State Championship as a senior where he averaged 14.4 points, 9.0 rebounds, 1.9 blocks and 2.0 steals per game. Hall recorded a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds in the title game to help clinch the program’s second state championship while also earning Class 6A All-Tournament honors. As a senior, Hall secured Class 6A, District 3 Co-Offensive Player of the Year, First Team All-District, All-Academic Team and All-Region and finished his final high school season shooting 65% from the field and 38% on 3-pointers while leading his team to a 35-3 overall record.

Hall is a unrated 2026 high schooler. I think it is amazing the players that are sort of falling between the cracks because of the transfer portal. I don’t know that Hall would be some sort of high-end player, but to be a fairly athletic small forward who played for a team that won state and doesn’t have any real looks seems a bit crazy as well. And maybe the thing that’s holding Hall back is that he didn’t excel at anything, but was good at almost everything. It’s tough to judge the type of player without more stats and my guess is that the North Crowley team was loaded and Hall was part of a team rather than shouldering the load. And I’d also like to add that this is a player that is similar to Leon Horner and Jazz Henderson, intended to be depth. I’d like to add that I think I like this addition more over Horner and Henderson because Hall has legitimate size, whereas Horner was a bit small for a small forward and a bit slow to guard two’s and Henderson was a point guard that was undersized and probably a bit slow as well. Hall appears (only have highlights to judge) to be a good size that’s skinny, but he’s athletic enough to play above the rim and could guard most 3’s I think.
