Haiku Prev-U: Iowa State

Mountained horizon

Summit trees, never to shield

Cyclone wide outs rise

♦     ♦     ♦

Cotton swirls on breeze

Lined fields lead where our hearts lay

Beckoning us home

♦     ♦     ♦

Storm sodden hill side

Yards shower down; two weeks now

Wary of a landslide

♦     ♦     ♦

Brisk autumn persists

Leaves drift bearing exposed limbs

Thin receiver corps

♦     ♦     ♦

Tiny paper cuts

Rise up — a leak never heals

On its own accord

♦     ♦     ♦

Resilient youth

Young yew salves wounds with due haste

Mahomes will to heal

♦     ♦     ♦

What bends is breaking

Tighter nets reap greater catch

Woven defenders

♦     ♦     ♦

Hark nature’s wonder

Beauty braided with terror

But teeth on birds? Gross.

♦     ♦     ♦

Young bud blooms in grace

Zach Austin nods to forebears

Touchdown Red Raiders
