Lady Raider Basketball
Lady Raiders Fall to Oklahoma. The Lady Raiders played one of their better games of the year, but fell to the Oklahoma Sooners 70-60. Ivonne CookTaylor led the way with 18 points, while Japreece Dean scored 14 and Ryan Bowser had 13. One other thought about this team, which is that the men’s team won only 3 games last year. It can take some time to turn things around.
Baseball
Baseball Drops Game 1 to New Mexico. This was a weird and sloppy game, 6 errors overall, where Texas Tech dropped the first game, 7-6. You can check out the series thread for a recap of the game.
Football
Post-Combine Mock. SI’s Robert Mays has a post-combine mock draft and this is the first time that I’ve seen Le’RAven Clark going in the first round:
31. Denver: Le’Raven Clark, OT, Texas Tech
The transition to the NFL may be a long one for Clark, who played in the Platonic ideal of a spread offense at Texas Tech. But he may have that luxury with the Broncos if Denver chooses to bring back Ryan Clady. Even if Clady accepts the paycut the Broncos have reportedly asked him to take, he’s going to be 30 and has a history of dealing with injuries.
Dinner Time. Someone do me a solid and give me a rundown as to who the players are.
Great dinner with the D-Line tonight. Spring ball is right around the corner and the hunt is on! #dline4life pic.twitter.com/LYJmU0ZoVm
