Two players sign with Texas Tech, Hyron Edwards from TVCC and Jordan Brangers from South Plains. This is good news. As an aside, Edwards and Brangers played each other and Edwards didn’t have a great day shooting the ball, only 3 of 11, but made 11 of 12 free throws and scoring 18 points, while Brangers was 7 of 10, including 4 of 6 from the three-point line, with 4 assists and no turnovers.

LAJ’s Krista Pirtle writes about James Washington, who is from Stamford, and is having all sorts of success for Oklahoma State even though he grew up as a Texas Tech fan:
“I guess it’s kind of fun,” Washington said. “I’m just going up against a team I once loved. It’s really just a football game. I mean, I just go out there and play. I would have tried to do my best for each team.”
