The Lady Raiders (11-13, 3-10 Big12) lost a tough one on Saturday against Oklahoma (56-64). Now they must turn their attention to beating the Iowa State Cyclones (13-11, 4-9 Big12) on Wednesday, January 15, 2017. This will be the 31st meeting between these two teams. Texas Tech trails Iowa State in the all-time series 14-16. Texas Tech needs to play the Cyclones tough and clean. We do not want to send Iowa State to the free-throw line as they are 2nd in the nation in FT% at 80.9%. The game could be a high scoring shoot-out as Iowa State likes to hit the 3-Ptrs. The Cyclones do not turn the ball over and they will be fighting hard to keep there 6th place seating in the Big12 standings. The Cyclones are tied with TCU going into this game. Texas Tech is 13th in the nation in 3-Ptr FG% at 38.1% and 8th in 3-Ptr Defense at 26.1%. It am hoping it is an exciting game and Texas Tech nails every 3-Ptr they send up. Last Saturday, Dayo Olabode did her best to get the win and to get the Lady Raiders squad pumped up and hitting their shots, I am hoping they all play like she did and we take the win in Ames.
