Possible Red Raiders: A Weekly Recruiting Update – 6/4/2018

Here are your recruiting updates from the past week:

Football 2019:

  • Collin Clay, 88 rated SDE, received an offer from Texas Tech on Tuesday. Clay has 18 offers according to 247sports and is leaning towards Arkansas apparently.
  • Virdel Edwards, 82 rated CB, received an offer from the Red Raiders on Wednesday. Tech has offered several taller CBs for the 2019 class.
  • Jaime Medina, JUCO K/P, received an offer from Texas Tech on Thursday. The Red Raiders’ special teams were not good last year and perhaps the coaches are looking for improvement.

Football 2020+:

  • Chad Lindberg, 93 rated 2020 OT, received an offer from Texas Tech on Wednesday. Despite just finishing his sophomore year, Lindberg already has 30+ offers.

Basketball 2018:

  • Both Gach, 90 rated SF, committed to Utah on Friday. Gach was down to San Diego State, Texas Tech and Utah before choosing the Utes.
  • Jordan Lathon, 89 rated PG, is receiving interest from Texas Tech. Lathon recently decommitted from Northwestern and is receiving offers or interest from several programs.
  • Keonte Kennedy, 88 rated SG, still has not committed anywhere. Kennedy was supposed to commit on May 26th, then last Wednesday, but needed more time to think about it.
  • Ehab Amin, Texas A&M CC SG Transfer, decommitted from Nevada on Friday. The return of the Martin brothers likely triggered the decommitment. The Red Raiders were interested in adding Amin before his Nevada commitment.
