There were two additional players that were announced yesterday they were entering into the transfer portal, receiver Caden Leggett and guard Will Farrar. Leggett saw a bit of time and he was a former walk-on that I believe earned a scholarship, while Farrar just never got any playing time. Farrar always followed STP on Twitter and re-tweeted all sorts of Texas Tech news so I think he was all-in, just didn’t get a ton of time. And I should mention that Farrar maybe should have gotten more time based on PFF performance grades. Guard is a position of need and there isn’t a ton of depth.

The Lady Raiders dropped a game to TCU on the road on Saturday, 61-53. Kind of a terrible shooting night, making only 33% of their shots and only 17% from the three-point line AND 43% from the free throw line (to be fair, the ladies only shot 7 free throws, making 3, which is a problem on its own).

The ladies will be back in action on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. against West Virginia.

Just like last weekend, the track and field teams were back in action this weekend in Lubbock and that link has all of the action from over the weekend, including a world-leading jump from Monae’ Nichols.

I think this happened on Friday afternoon, but Texas Tech baseball announced their conference schedule, including home series featuring Oklahoma State, TCU, Baylor, and Kansas, with road series against Kansas State, West Virginia, Texas, and Oklahoma.

Chris Beard and the basketball team will be back in action tonight in Morgantown against West Virginia. Preview and game day thread will be published today and hope this holds you over til then. As an aside, Beard and I had the same truck back in the day.
