Joseph Adedire becomes the 15th commitment, the second Rivals 4-star with Marion Horn, to join the 2022 Texas Tech recruiting class.

RedRaiderSports’ Ben Golan spoke with Adedire’s head coach at Mansfield Summit about what type of person and player Adedire is:

Off the field, how have you seen Joseph Adedire grow from when you first got him to what he is now?
“Yeah I mean, since he’s stepped on campus he was one of those guys that always did what you asked him to do. He’s a worker, you ask him or give him a task, he’s 100% committed to putting in the work to get that task done. That’s been him since he was a freshman.

Everything we’ve put out in front of him he’s done, he’s kind of led by example. Any young kid that wants something, that wants to go get something and has goals, they can just look at him and see how he goes about his work and how he’s gotten everything he’s worked for.”

Adedire was originally committed to TCU, but with Zarnell Fitch’s move as defensive line coach from TCU to Texas Tech, Adedire switched as well.

I’m embedding Adedire’s junior highlights and just a game I’ve picked from his senior year. Adedire will play both tackle and end with with speed to really excel at end, but has a significant amount of strength to play tackle as well Adedire has good hands, displays nice leverage, excellent closing speed and ability to pursue the ball. He looks really fast out there. I should also mention that Adedire is #14 as a junior, but #4 as a senior. Your team (my team) needs difference makers and that is Adidire. High-end athleticism on the defensive line is a rare trait and I’m here for this.
