Texas Tech Basketball: 2023-24 Eligibility Chart Version 3

Some good news yesterday. Lamar Washington announced that he was running it back with Texas Tech for year two. I think Washington will play a ton next year and if he adds something from outside, he’s going to be really good in year two. And I should add that Washington really struggled offensively. He didn’t have a great shooting percentage, 23% from deep, but did shoot 51% from 2-point range. I’d guess a lot of that was getting to the hoop because his free throw rate was 57%.

This team still needs some size with a side of size.

I did find a list of ranked available portal players from T-Rank and this is helpful to determine who is available, so if you like to consider those sorts of things, then this is a good place to look.

We also had some confirmation that Jaylon Tyson will transfer to California along with Fardaws Aimaq, KJ Allen will transfer to Portland State, Daniel Batcho will transfer to Louisiana Tech, and Elijah Fisher will transfer to DePaul, former home of Dallas Comegys and Mark Aguirre.
