Starting 5
1. Stats. It’s early, but TAMU-CC is not good. They are a terrible shooting team and terrible turnover team an they don’t get to the line ever. This will likely be a blowout (or should) just based on the Islanders’ lack of offense. But wait, the defense is atrocious, they are terrible at forcing turnovers and terrible at stopping teams from offensive boards and terrible at stopping teams from shooting free throws.
2. Scouting. This was a weird starting lineup to follow and TAMU-CC’s best players are Jordan Roberts, who has the team’s best Box Score Plus-Minus and good offensive rating. Lance-Amir Paul has a decent assist rate and is a high usage player. Clark is the team’s best rebounder.
3. How They Match Up. Darrion Williams should have a field day here, he’s so versatile that I think he’s going to be really good and I’d like to see Isaacs cook and McMillian to start warming up. His shot needs to start falling. This should be a game where the back-ups play the last 15 to 12 minutes.

5. Official Site. The official site has their preview right here:
A three-game homestand to start the season will come to its conclusion for Texas Tech when it hosts Texas A&M-Corpus Christi at 7 p.m. on Thursday at United Supermarkets Arena before traveling to play at the Battle 4 Atlantis next week in the Bahamas.
“We’re excited about the opportunity to play Thursday,” Tech coach Grant McCasland said. “Their team is tough. We’ve talked to people who have played them and they said it’s the most physical team that they’ve played. They are playing really hard and you can tell they’re playing with a lot of physicality. We’ve got our hands full.”
