Of all things, the official site is inaccessible right now. With that being said, Texas Tech lost this game on what was supposed to be an intentional walk by NiJaree Canady that Texas ended up hitting a 2-out single to take a 2-1 lead over Texas Tech. Canady said after the game that this loss was on her.

Game 2 is tonight, first pitch is at 7:00 p.m. and is on ESPN.

College Hoops Today’s Jon Rothstein was the first to report that Texas Tech and Illinois will start a home-and-home series with the first game in Champaign on November 11th and Illinois to visit Lubbock the next year. I love this move for Texas Tech.
