Happy Father’s Day to all of the dads out there. I was talking to someone yesterday at Yo’s basketball tournament and was asked about what I plan on doing for the day, I looked around and said “This.” I told him that more than anything I was really thankful to be a dad, it’s something I’ve been thinking about recently and maybe it hits a bit more for me because it wasn’t easy to be a dad. Attempts to have biological children never worked and we went the adoption route, which as I am sure you know or can understand that it is a huge process. So I’ll tell Miranda, Fits & Yo that I’m so grateful to them for being able to fulfill one of the things that I always wanted to be, which is a dad. It very much is the best-thing-ever for me. We’ve got more basketball today and I wouldn’t want to do anything else. Enjoy your day!

Austin American-Statesman’s Zoe Collins Rath on the allegations that that were made against Nathan Nelson and the Matador Club. A bit confusing, but this SI article made numerous allegations about the Matador Club and Nathan Nelson, who is a coach for a club team. The AAS article paints a very different picture and basically says that the allegations in the SI article is false based on talking to one of the players allegedly contacted, Texas catcher Reese Atwood.
On the Hardwood
Australian guard Ben Henshall said that he is withdrawing from the NBA Draft. This isn’t news right now, but head coach Grant McCasland said that he wants to add one or two more players and I believe that Henshall is one of those guys. He would be a game-changer for this program. Fingers crossed
