In his first eight games as a collegian, Texas Tech baseball infielder Linkin Garcia is batting .344 with 4 doubles, 3 home runs and 13 runs batted in. Within the Big 12, he’s tied for second in doubles and tied for fourth in homers and RBIs.

“Lincoln’s a good baseball player,” Tech coach Tim Tadlock said. “He’s probably not a freshman in baseball terms. He is academically, but baseball-wise, he’s way ahead of his years.”
