Texas Tech Softball: No. 2 Red Raiders set for Big 12 opener
Lubbock Avalanche-Journal’s Nathan Giese: Texas Tech softball’s Kaitlyn Terry putting two-way dominance on full display
Kaitlyn Terry became an early target, the UCLA product showing off two-way abilities in leading the Bruins to the Women’s College World Series. But even Glasco had no idea just how well Terry would work out for the Red Raiders this early in the season.
“I guess when you see a great athlete like her come in,” Glasco said, “you’re never totally surprised by the success of great athletes like her. It’s shocking to me that she’s batting over .500. I wouldn’t have expected that.”

Texas Tech Baseball: Tech welcomes Penn State for final non-con weekend set
Lubbock Avalanche-Journal’s Don Williams: Texas Tech baseball juggles rotation; how to watch Penn State series
Lowe is unscored upon in four appearances this season. In 6 2/3 innings out of the bullpen, he’s struck out eight and walked none. That from a guy who, in nine appearances last season, allowed 25 hits and 13 walks in 16 innings.

“You’d like for that to happen sooner, but to me, he’s had pretty good presence through this year so far.”
